We continue our march toward the Lebanese Civil War with a look at the presidency of Fuad Shihab, who thought the problems were bad but their causes were pretty cool. Shihab's presidency was relatively sedate compared with his predecessors, but what he did (or failed to do, really) helped set the stage for the war to come.
