Just curious, why has Taiwan's tier 1 designation in the US's human trafficking report drawn criticism? Is there a known issue of human trafficking there that the US is overlooking due to its foreign policy interests? Or did they just award them the designation without a proper investigation for similar reasons?
Hey sibir, rando here but I thinks it’s as Derek said in that it’s an obvious politically influenced tip of the hat in a realm that should preferably be dealt with seriously... im no expert but im sure there has been plenty of research done with regards to taiwans (safest way to say it may not be complicity) awareness of trafficking that (again no expert) could be seen as similar and probably related to other areas in se Asia...
