World update: November 13 2019

A couple of housekeeping items since this one is only going out to subscribers:

• We will likely not be having a podcast this week. My cold is on its way out but I could use another week here without having to do a lot of sustained talking. I’ve been trying (and am still trying) to line up an interview but so far that hasn’t worked out.
