SYRIA
The US military’s “Green Village” base in eastern Syria’s Deir Ezzor province apparently came under rocket attack on Sunday. The attack doesn’t appear to have caused any damage or casualties, but it may trigger some sort of US retaliation. Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers reportedly entered Syria on Monday while chasing four people who allegedly “hurled objects” over the border fence into the occupied Golan, which Israel claims as its territory. There’s no indication what those “objects” were but the Israelis did manage to wound and apprehend one of the hurlers. It’s unclear what happened to the other three.
