The Syrian Democratic Forces militia says that its fighters conducted multiple raids on Islamic State positions in Raqqa on Wednesday, capturing “dozens” of suspected IS fighters. The raids came in retaliation for an IS attack in Raqqa in late December that killed six SDF personnel and they apparently included US air cover and surveillance support.
