According to Doctors Without Borders, three children and one woman were “critically injured” by a landmine near the Yemeni city of Taiz on Thursday. It seems one of the children started playing with the device before it detonated. Landmines, many of them probably laid by rebel fighters, have been responsible for hundreds of deaths over the course of the war in Yemen and continue to kill and wound people even as the conflict has largely cooled down in recent months.
