Ukraine bombs the Kerch bridge, OPEC+ cuts oil production, and more
Over the past couple of weeks, the North Korean military continued to conduct weapons tests. Ukrainian forces bombed the Kerch bridge, an act which Vladimir Putin called “terrorism.” The Biden administration released its new not-so-groundbreaking National Security Strategy. OPEC+ announced it would be cutting daily oil production starting in November, to vehement protests from US policymakers. Protests over the death of Mahsa Amini continued in Iran despite violent security crackdowns. And, the United Nations and Biden administration weighed up a military intervention in Haiti.
