Azerbaijan subdues Nagorno-Karabakh, a Saudi-Israeli normalization deal takes form, and more
These past weeks, details emerged on the developing Saudi-Israeli normalization agreement. The first batch of US M1 Abrams tanks arrived in Ukraine, with US President Joe Biden reportedly promising that the Army Tactical Missile System was soon to follow. US Senator Bob Menendez refused to step down from his Senate seat after being indicted on charges related to alleged corruption and espionage in partnership with Egyptian officials. French President Emmanuel Macron reluctantly agreed to withdraw French troops and diplomats from Niger. And finally, the Azerbaijani military launched and concluded a lighting military offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh, forcing the dissolution of the Karabakh regional government and the evacuation of tens of thousands of Karabakh Armenians from the region.
