Russia warns of a dirty bomb, Iranian security forces attempt to quash protests, and more
This week, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu warned Western leaders and the UN that the Ukrainian military might use a “dirty bomb” in the near future. Protests over Mahsa Amini’s death reached a fever pitch during the 40-day commemoration of her funeral. The Somali government asked the Biden administration to step up its drone activity against al-Shabab. And, the United States and UN Security Council continued to search for a country willing to lead a military intervention in Haiti.
