This week, the death toll in Gaza hit 7300 as Israel began its ground operation in the region. The US military struck Syrian facilities used by the IRGC and Iran-backed militias in a warning sign to Iran and its allies not to involve themselves in Gaza. Amid reports that the Sudanese military and the Rapid Support Forces have agreed to resume negotiations, the RSF claimed that it had seized the city of Nyala. Chinese and Philippine vessels collided near the Second Thomas Shoal in the South China Sea. And Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has finally sent Sweden’s NATO accession to parliament for ratification.
