This week, Bulgaria prepared for its third election this year. Mass arrests against ethnic Tigrayans continued in Ethiopia. Nicaraguan voters reelected President Daniel Ortega, frustrating the US. Tensions over migration continued to rise between Poland and Belarus. Finally, the junta in Sudan named a new transitional council, frustrating international efforts to restore the country’s pre-coup status quo.
