Turkey prepares to invade northern Syria, Biden and Macron meet, and more
This week, the Turkish military continued to prepare for an invasion of northern Syria. Anti-lockdown protests in China prompted some relaxation of Beijing’s “Zero-COVID” policy. The European Union and G7 agreed to a price cap on Russian oil, which could go into effect as early as next week. And Joe Biden hosted Emmanuel Macron in Washington to talk about Ukraine and the Inflation Reduction Act.
