Sudanese truce talks collapse, North Korea’s spy satellite rocket launch fails, and more
This week, Russian forces responded to multiple cross-border incursions into Russia’s Belgorod oblast. Following the G7 leaders summit in Hiroshima, Joe Biden announced The Gang’s intent to “de-risk and diversify” with respect to China. North Korea’s attempt to launch a spy satellite rocket into orbit resulted in a complete failure. Israeli military officials raised concerns about Iranian construction of a new nuclear facility. And, ceasefire talks came to an abrupt halt between the Sudanese military and the Rapid Support Forces, amid continued fighting.
