The West moves to arm Ukraine with F-16s, Israel and Palestinian Islamic Jihad reach a ceasefire, and more
This week, the security situation across Sudan continued to worsen. The Arab League leaders’ summit in Saudi Arabia began on Friday, with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad present. The Israeli government and Palestinian Islamic Jihad reached an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire after five days of fighting. United States President Joe Biden visited Japan for the G7 summit, but canceled subsequent trips to Oceania. And, the West all but confirmed its intent to provide Ukraine with F-16 combat jets.
