The war in Ukraine continues, South Korea elects a new president, and more
Programming Note: Derek here. I’m partially spoiling his concluding note but as you’ll read below Shawn is off to bigger and better things so this will be his last “Week in Review.” I want to thank him for all of his great work over these past several months and wish him well in his future endeavors. As for this feature, it as well as our monthly jobs listing will unfortunately be going on hiatus while I look for a new person to take on those projects. Hopefully that won’t take too long.
This week, border provocations between Azerbaijan and the breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh increased. Negotiations over the 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal may have hit an impasse. Major updates on the war in Ukraine. South Korea held its presidential election while North Korea may have tested ICBM technology. Finally, a relatively friendly high-level meeting between the US and Venezuela produced some interesting results.
