This week, Russia scrapped the Black Sea Grain Initiative and began bombarding Ukrainian ports. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan abruptly announced that he would ask the Turkish parliament to ratify Sweden’s accession into NATO. US Climate Envoy John Kerry visited China to discuss US-Chinese cooperation on climate change. US President Joe Biden finally agreed to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. And, the Sudanese military reportedly came back to the bargaining table, sending representatives to Jeddah to resume ceasefire talks.
