This week, Turkey, Finland, and Sweden came to an agreement on the Scandinavian countries’ pending NATO applications. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his resignation in the wake of yet another scandal. Former Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzō was assassinated. The Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda agreed to a ceasefire on behalf of the M23 militia, which M23 promptly rejected. And G7 leaders announced plans to impose a price cap on Russian oil.
