Over the past two weeks, Russian and Ukrainian officials struck an agreement to resume grain shipments through the Black Sea. Turkish authorities blamed the Kurdistan Workers’ Party for an artillery strike that killed Iraqi civilians. Ranil Wickremesinghe was confirmed as Sri Lankan president. Myanmar’s ruling junta received international criticism for a spate of executions. And tensions over China-Taiwan relations flared due to Nancy Pelosi’s rumored plans to visit Taiwan.
