This week, the Azerbaijani military set up a checkpoint blocking the Lachin Corridor that likely violates the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh armistice. Yoon Suk-yeol and Joe Biden agreed to open the door to deploying US nuclear-armed submarines to South Korean ports. Fighting between the Sudanese military and Rapid Support Forces raged on, despite multiple ceasefires. Xi Jinping spoke with Volodymyr Zelensky for the first time since before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. And, there were murmurs of Ukraine’s long-awaited “spring counteroffensive” kicking into action.
